Sumingit ang Pinoy doctor: “Akala niyo ba atrasado ang Pilipinas? Nu’ng minsan kinuha namin ang tao na walang utak, puso at atay, at ginawa naming President. Ngayon lahat kami naghahanap ng trabaho.”

Ipinasyal ng Indian official sa mansiyon niya ang kaibigang Pinoy. “Ang laki’t rangya, paano mo ito nakayang itayo?” mangha ang Pinoy. Kumindat ang Indian at tumuro sa labas ng bintana: “Nakikita mo ‘yung tulay na ‘yon?” Umoo si Pinoy. “Tumapyas ako ng 10% ng budget nu’n.”

Napunta sa Pinas ang Indian, at siya naman ang iniikot sa palasyo ng Pinoy official. “Mas malaki’t marangya ito, paano mo natayo?” usisa ng Indian. Tumuro si Pinoy sa labas ng bintana: “Nakikita mo ang tulay na ‘yon?” Makalipas ang ilang minuto anang Indian, “Wala ako makita.”

ANANG kasaysayan, sa pagnanais na mamuhay nang mapayapa itinayo ng mga Chinese ang Great Wall. Dahil sa taas ng pader, anila, walang hukbo na makakaakyat at mapapasok ang kaharian.

Pero sa unang 100 taon ng Great Wall tatlong beses linupig ang China. At sa lahat noon, hindi na kinailangan ng mga kalaban akyatin ang pader. Sinuhulan lang nila ang mga guwardiya na buksan ang pinto.

Nabuo ng Chinese ang Great Wall, pero nakalimutan­ nila ang mahalagang pagbuo ng pagkatao ng mga guwar­diya. Bagama’t sa mga siglo naging simbulo ng pader ang katatagan ng bansa, naging pananda rin ito na tatag ng pagkatao ang magpapasya.

Nabatid ng mga Chinese na ang pinaka-mabisang depensa kontra kalaban ay hindi ang pinatayog na pader kundi pinatunayang pagkatao.

Hindi mo maisisisi sa tadhana ang sinapit mo, kundi sa sarili.

Mga gabay mula sa Great Wall at Berlin Wall

Nu’ng panahong hati pa ang Germany ng Kanluran at Soviet bloc, pinaghiwalay ng konkretong pader ang West at East Berlin. Matindi ang away nila sa ideyolohiya­.

Isang araw huminto sa pader ang malaking truck mula sa East, at nagtambak sa West Berlin ng pagka-baho-bahong dumi mula imburnal.

Kayang-kaya ng West Berlin gumanti at magtambak din ng basura. Pero hindi ‘yon ang nangyari. Wala pang isang linggo, may kasing laking truck mula sa West na huminto sa pader. Nagtambak ito sa East Berlin ng limpak-limpak na pagkain: prutas, keso, tsokolate. May bulaklak pa.

Sa tuktok ng tumpok ng regalo ang malaking karatula na nagsabing:

“Maibibigay mo lang kung ano ang meron ka.”

Muli, labanan ‘yon ng pagkatao.

“Sa restoran biglang lumanding ang ipis sa dibdib ng babae. Pagkakita nito sa ipis nagtitili siya sa takot. Bakas ang panic sa mukha at panginginig ng boses, naglulundag siya habang pinapagpag ang ipis. Nahawa sa panic ang mga kasama niyang babae. Nagtilian at naglundagan din sila.

“Sa wakas napaalis ng babae ang ipis. Pero lumipad at lumanding ito sa isa sa kasamahan. ‘Yung pangalawang babae naman ang nagpatuloy ng drama.

“Lumapit ang waiter para sumaklolo. Sa gitna ng lundagan at tilian, sa shirt naman ng waiter lumipat ang ipis. Tahimik, kalmado, minasdan ng waiter ang kilos ng peste. Nang masuri niya ito, bigla niyang hinuli at tinapon sa labas ng restoran.

Sayang ito kung ‘di ko agad isasa-Filipino at ibahagi pag­katanggap ng text mula sa madasaling kaibigan. Magagandang pangaral sa buhay:

(1) Hindi spare tire ang dasal na nilalabas lang kapag may problema. Ang dasal ay manibela para sa tamang landas habambuhay.

(2) Bakit ang windshield ng kotse ay pagkalaki-laki samantalang ang rearview mirror ay pagkaliit-liit. Kasi ang ating nakalipas ay hindi kasing-halaga ng ating hina­harap. Kaya’t tumingin sa paroroonan.

(3) Parang libro ang pagkakaibigan. Ilang sandali lang para ito sunugin, pero maraming taon para sulatin.

(4) Lahat sa buhay ay panandalian. Kapag maganda ang takbo, namnamin, sapagkat hindi ito habambuhay. Kapag masama ang takbo, huwag mag-alala, sapagkat hindi rin ‘yon magtatagal.

(5) Ginto ang matatagal nang kaibigan. Diyamante ang mga bago. Kapag magka-diyamante, huwag kaligtaan ang ginto. Kailangan ng diamante ang pagkakapitang ginto.

(6) Madalas kapag nawawalan tayo ng pag-asa at tila katapusan na ng lahat, ngumingiti ang Diyos mula sa itaas at bumubulong, “Huwag mag-alala, liko lang ito at hindi wakas sa landas ng buhay.”

(7) Kapag nilutas ng Diyos ang suliranin mo, ‘yon ay dahil nananalig ka sa kakayahan Niya. Kapag hindi ka tinulungan ng Diyos, ‘yon ay dahil nananalig Siya sa kaka­yahan mo.

(8) Tinanong ng bulag ang Diyos kung may lalala pa sa mawalan ng paningin. Sagot ng Diyos ay oo, kung ma­walan ka ng pananaw.

(9) Kapag ipinagdarasal mo ang iba, nakikinig ang Diyos at binebenditahan sila. Kapag masaya at ligtas ka, ‘yon ay dahil may nagdasal sa Diyos para sa iyo.

(10) Hindi naaalis ng labis na pag-aalala ang mga suliranin ng bukas. Inaalis nito ang katahimikan ng isip mo sa ngayon.

Unti-unting nilulupig ng mga galamay ng China ang mga kampo ng sandatahang lakas ng Pilipinas, matapos agawin ang mga teritoryong dagat natin. Tinutulungan sila ng mga matataas na lider natin.

Inalis ang Air Force mula sa 49-taon base sa Sangley, Cavite, simula Agosto 2019. Unang hakbang ‘yon sa pag­gawa at pagpatakbo ng international airport sa Sangley ng isang China state firm.

Sunod aalisin du’n ang pangunahing daungan ng Phi­lippine Fleet. Mahuhubaran ng depensa ang Manila Bay at sentro ng gobyerno, kaba ng Navy. Ang airport ay gagawin­ ng China Communications Construction Co. Ito rin ang nanguna sa pagkongkteto bilang island-fortresses ng pitong­ bahura ng Pilipinas na inagaw ng China.

Isa pang kompanyang gobyerno ng China ang pinagkalooban ng pribilehiyo na magtayo ng cellular sites sa mga kampo natin. Maaring gamitin ng China Telecom ang mga tore para magmasid sa mga kilos ng militar natin at makinig sa mga komunikasyon. Makakabitan ‘yon ng mga gamit na pang-espiya at sabotahe. Dalawang batas sa China ang nag-oobliga sa mga kompanya at mamamayan nila na tumulong sa pag-eespiya ng estado, at pagsikreto ng partisipasyong ‘yon.

Marami pang galamay ng estado ng China ang pinasasali sa mga proyektong may kinalaman sa seguridad. Isa rito ang pag-rehab ng Marawi City mula sa pagwasak ng mga terorista.

Samantala inaangkin ng China ang mga teritoryo natin­. Ide-dredge ang Scarborough Shoal bilang air at naval base ng China para panapat sa katabing Subic Bay. Pinapa­libutan ng daan-daang trawlers ng Chinese maritime militia ang bayan ng Pagasa, Palawan, para guluhin ang air at sea­lifts doon. Palaging binubulabog ng China coast­guards ang mga Pilipinong sailors na nagdadala ng pagkain at gamit sa Marines sa Ayungin Shoal, sa Palawan din.

Bahagi lahat ‘yan ng China “gray-zone operations”.

BIHASA ang Chinese Communist Party sa “gray-zone stra­tegy”. Pinagsasanib ang giyera pulitika sa sanda­ta­hang opensiba. Ginagamit ang sibilyan sa kilos militar; halim­bawa, maritime militia, mga mangingisda, para bulabugin ang Pagasa Island, Palawan.

Sinimulang alisin ang Air Force sa 77-ektaryang Sangley base nu’ng Agosto 2019. Ipinalipat kasi roon ni President Duterte kay Transport Sec. Arthur Tugade ang general aviation mula Manila International Airport. Nawala ang 15th Strike Wing, 451st Supply Squadron, 570th Composite Tactical Wing, at 1398th Dental Dispensary. Ang runway at hangars ay inangkin ng maliliit na eroplanong pambiyahe ng isda at ibang magaang kargamento. Ililipat ang Air Force sa Laguindingan field, Mindanao.

Agosto 2019 din, ika-limang bisita sa China, tinanggap ni Duterte ang 40% pag-aari ng China Communications Construction Co. sa itatayong Sangley international airport. Uutang ng P550 bilyon sa China.

Hindi lang Philippine Fleet ang aalisin. Tanggal din ang fleet support services, imbakan ng krudo at armas, special warfare units, commandos, komunikasyon, engineering, training, at air squadron. Hindi kinunsulta ang Navy sa pag­lilipat sa loob ng dalawang taon lang. Pebrero 2020 na nang mabalitaan lahat ng Navy. Siyempre nagulat sila.

Noong nakaraang Set. 8, binigyan ni Defense Sec. Delfin­ Lorenzana ng pribilehiyo ang China Telecom na gamitin ang mga kampo militar para sa cell towers. Mamamanmanan ng kumpanyang China ang mga kilos ng Sandatahang Lakas. Maeespiyahan at maari pang i-cyber-sabotage. Ang China Tel ay 40% partner ng Dito Telecommunity na 3rd telco. May-ari ng Dito si Dennis Uy, kaibigan ni Duterte at pinaka-malaking nag-ambag sa kampanya niya sa pagka-Pangulo nu’ng 2016.

Maari pa maging buong may-ari ang CCCC ng airport at ChinaTel ng 3rd telco. Inaamyendahan ng Kongreso ang Public Service Act; papayagan na ang dayuhan na 100%, di lang 40%, sa public utilities.

NOONG unang panahon napabalita sa bayan ng Ler­nuscus na lulusubin sila ng mga taga-malayong bayan ng Clayounne. Dahil 30 araw na lakad ang pagitan ng dala­wang pook, nagpasyang maghanda ang mga taga-Ler­nuscus sa napipintong labanan. Nag-armas sila at nag-imbak ng pagkain at kagamitang pandigma.

Ikalawang araw, napansin ng ilang taga-Lernuscus ang isang pangkat sa hanay nila na papatay-patay sa paghahanda. Nagpulong sila kung ano ang dapat gawin. “Imbes na makatulong, magpapabigat lang ang mga hihina-hina na ‘yan sa laban natin sa mga Clayounnian,” anila. “Patayin­ natin silang lahat bago lumala ang problema.”

Dinakip ang mga tinuturing na pabigat lang, ihinelera sa pader, at pinagpapana hanggang lahat ay bumulagta sa lupa.

Aral: Sa ano mang samahan walang perpektong kasapi. Lahat ay may kapansanan o kakulangan. Para tumatag ang samahan, dapat iangat ang isa’t isa. Pag-anibin ang lakas ng lahat. Walang may karapatang humusga kung sino ang malakas o mahina.
