Nu’ng 2016 na-hack ang Comelec database at ipinaskel online ang pangalan, birthday, tirahan, asawa, magulang, at passport number ng bawat oversees voter. Kasabwat ang insiders nai-scam ang mga kliyente ng banko at cellular service subscribers. Nasasa-publiko ng medical testing clinics ang sakit at procedures ng mga pasyente.

SOCIAL media ang pangunahing pinagkukuhanan ng ma­mamayang Chinese ng katotohanan. Sinisikap ng China Communist Party i-censor ang socmed, kuwento sa akin ng mga kaibigan doon. Pero marami pa ring nakakalusot na impormasyon na nagpapasiklab ng damdamin.

Napabalita kamakailan sa socmed ang misteryosong pagkawala ng isang binatilyong edad-16. Ordinaryong estud­yante lang siya; wala sa honor roll. Pero kataka-taka na inimbitahan siya ng isang pamantasan na mag-enrol. Bi­nigyan pa ng libreng scholarship.

Makalipas ang tatlong buwan, naputol ang contact ng pamilya sa binatilyo. ‘Di na siya tumatawag o nagte-text. Lahat ng pag-uusisa ng kaanak ay sinalubong ng pamantasan ng katahimikan o kasungitan.

 

Hindi na makatiis, ipinaskel ng kuya ng binatilyo sa socmed ang mga pangyayari. May katangi-tanging blood type umano ang kapatid niya. Naghihinala sila na kinidnap ito para ibenta ang dugo sa mga mayayamang nanga­ngailangan.

One-sixth ng teritoryong Ukraine ang nasakop ng Russia. Doon, hindi sundalo ang nakikibaka, kundi mga gerilya. Hindi sila mga tipikal na gerilyang gutom at gusgusin na napapanood sa sine. Nasa bahay at opisina sila. Tahimik na gumagawa ng aerial drones at pampasabog.
