Sa nagdaang 2021 nagsimulang malutas ng mundo ang COVID-19 ng bakuna at gamot. Ngayong 2022, masa­sanay tayo sa mga bagong realidad. Sampung pagba­bago at kaganapan ang inaasahan ng mga eksperto ng The Economist:

(1) Lalala ang hidwaan ng America at China. Demo­krasya ba o diktadurya ang mainam sa kalakalan, tekno­lohiya, at medisina?

(2) Mai-immune ang mayorya ng tao sa mundo sa COVID-19. Matuturing na karaniwang flu virus na lang ang SARS-CoV-2. Mag-a-outbreak na lang ito tuwing tag­lamig at sa mahihirap na bansa.

(3) Magmamahal ang mga bilihin dahil kakapusin ang petrolyo. Kakapusin din ang skilled labor sa enerhiya at paggawa ng kotse.

(4) Mananatili ang work-from-home, lalo na ang mga nanay at buntis. Isyu ang pagbubuwis sa kanila at promotion sa trabaho.

(5) Maghihigpit ang mga gobyerno kontra pagmamanipula ng facebook, tiktok, at iba pa sa utak ng online users­. Mauuso ang online sa bentahan, hindi na sa games. Gaga­mitin ito ng China sa pandigma.

(6) Maglalabas ang bawat bangko sentral ng crypto-currencies.

(7) Lalala ang mga baha, tagtuyot at wildfires sa mundo. Pero babalewalain pa rin ng mga gobyerno ang global warming na dulot ng polusyon. Grabe sa lahat ang China at America.

(8) Mauuso uli ang pagbiyahe sa lokal at abroad. Turismo ang bubuhay sa maraming ekonomiya, maski pangit ang mga hotel, resorts, sasakyan at serbisyo.

(9) Dadagsa ang space travel ng mayayaman. Darami ang space stations at paliliparing space craft sa buwan, Mars at Jupiter. Titindi ang girian ng militar ng America, China at Russia sa outer space at sa buwan.

(10) Mapupulitika ang sports – Winter Olympics sa Beijing at football World Cup sa Qatar – ng mga tutuligsa sa diktadurya.

May sarili akong «hula»: Mabubuwisit ang mga nag-iisip na Pilipino sa bugok na pulitika. Mawawalan sila ng ganang magbayad ng buwis. Ilalantad ang katiwalian at abuso ng dynasties.

Aabutin nang dalawang panguluhan, o 12 taon bago makabangon ang kabuhayan, ani Sen. Panfilo Lacson. Dahil ‘yan sa lalim ng pagkabagsak bago at habang pandemya, dagdag ni ekonomista at dating Bangko Sentral deputy governor Diwa Guinigundo. At para umangat muli kakailanganing ayusin ang mga nawasak na insti­tusyon, pahabol ni beteranong mamamahayag Vergel Santos. Pinagsanib ko ang hiwa-hiwalay na pagsusuri nila sa kina­bukasan ng Pilipinas.

Isang milyong maliliit na negosyo ang nawasak ng lockdowns nu’ng 2020. Kaya 27 milyon agad ang nawalan ng trabaho at kalahati pa lang ang nakabawi sa ngayon. Napulitika ang pagtugon sa krisis pangkalusugan. Ma­bagal ang pagbakuna kontra COVID-19. Inuna pa ang pangungumisyon mula sa face masks, face shields, coro­na­virus testing kits, at personal protective equipment.

Naging tuta ng Malacañang ang Kongreso. Pinuno ng mga kakosa ang Korte Suprema, Ombudsman, Comelec. Binusalan ang Commission on Audit, Simbahan at media­. Ginawang mamamatay-tao ang pulis. Iniatras ang Armed Forces sa pagdedepensa kontra manlulupig.

Hinaharap ng mga Pilipino ang bawat Bagong Taon nang lubos ang pag-asa. Mas iigi ang buhay, anila sa mga surveys. Pero depende rin ito sa kilos ng madla. Maha­laga ang wastong pagpili ng bagong Pangulo. Pati na rin ng mga senador, kongresista, at lokal na opisyales.

Dalawa ang pamantayan sa pagkilatis sa kandidato. Una, karakter. Mabuti ba ang pagkatao, pinag-aralan at pinanggalingan niya? O tapos nga ng kolehiyo pero ma­sama ang ugali at minumura ang Diyos? Ikalawa, kapasidad. May talino ba ito, pala-aral at pala-isip para sa tao, at masigasig? O tamad magbasa, nagpapadala lang sa huling bulong, at inuuna ang sarili at cronies bago ang taumbayan?

MAGKAKAMBAL na krisis sa pag-aaral at nutrisyon. Kulelat ang mag-aaral natin, edad 9 at 14, sa Math, Science at Reading Comprehension. Kumpara ‘yan sa 82 bansa sa apat na eksamen nu’ng 2013-2020.

Mapurol ang utak kung kulang sa iodine ang bata. Mahina ang katawan kung kapos sa protein at fat. Dalawa sa bawat limang kindergartners ang undernourished: payat, bansot, putot. Apat na milyong bata sa Grades 1-3  ang pumapasok nang gutom. Umaasa sila sa feeding­ program ng paaralan para maintindihan ang mga leksiyon. Nawalan ng libreng pakain nitong pandemya dahil walang pasok.

Kritikal ang wastong nutrisyon sa unang 1,000 araw ng bata, mula ipagbuntis hanggang edad 3. Dito ang pani­mula sa iodine, protein at vitamins. Pagpasok sa kindergarten handa na ang utak at katawan.

Tuluy-tuloy dapat ang wastong pagkain. Nu’ng 2018 sinukat ng China at India ang mga edad 16 nila at ikinum­para sa nu’ng dekada-1960, kalahating siglo noon. Sa China tumangkad ang mga lalaki nang 2.75 inches at mga babae nang two inches ngayon. Halos pareho sa mayayamang states sa India. Rason: sa pag-unlad ng kabuhayan ay lumago ang kita at produksiyon ng pagkain. Napakain ang mga bata ng karne. At habang lumalaki napag-gatas sila ng baka, kambing at kalabaw. Tumalas ang utak para maging engineers, technologists, at scientists.

Pamarisan natin ‘yon. Maraming pastulan sa kapuluan. Maituturo ang pagpapalaki at pagpaparami ng cattle at livestock. Mapapaghalo ang luma at modernong tekno­lohiya para sumustansiya ang pagkain ng lahat. Tatangkad, tatalas ang Pilipino.

Mahalaga ang political will. Humalal ng lider na may vision. Huwag pipitsuging meyor na sa loob ng 23 taon ay wala ni isang paaralan at pamantasang-lungsod na naitatag. Huwag ‘yung hindi gagap ang magkakambal na isyung pag-aaral at nutrisyon.

HUWAG tayo magpa-Niños Inocentes sa kumakandidatong kongresista, lalo na kung re-electionist. Alamin natin kung maka-Pilipino sila o maka-Communist China pala. Mahalaga ang katapatan sa bansa imbis na sa China, na umaagaw sa yamang dagat at ekonomiya natin.

May mga pamantayan sa katapatan ng kumakandidatong incumbents at sa ka-dynasty nila. ‘Yon ay ang boto nila sa dalawang panukalang batas na pabor sa Communist China. Unang panukala ang pagpayag sa 100% na pag-aari ng dayuhan sa public utilities, tulad ng telecoms at transportasyon. Ikalawa ang pagpayag sa direktang prankisa ng dayuhan sa natural resources, tulad ng oil, gas at lupa.

Kontra sa Konstitusyon ang dalawang panukala. Kriminal ang mga kongresistang sumusuporta du’n. Nilimitahan ng Konstitusyon sa 40% ang pag-aari sa public utilities. At sa natural resources mga Pilipino lang ang puwede. Makakapasok lang ang dayuhan sa financial-technical assistance; walang kontrol sa prankisa.

Kung payagan ang 100% dayuhan sa telecoms, mabibili ng state-owned China Telecom ang Dito Telecommunity. Magiging puro Chinese na ang management. Wala nang hadlang sa paggamit ng spyware at malware para espiyahan at i-cyber-sabotage ang Pilipinas.

Sa transportasyon, itatayo at patatakbuhin ng state-owned China Construction Communication Corp. ang Sangley International Air/Seaport. Patatalsikin ang Philippine Navy roon. Makokontrol ng China ang pasukan at labasan ng Manila, capital ng Pilipinas.

Sa natural resources, maibebenta ni Dennis Uy sa state-owned China National Overseas Oil Corp. ang Malampaya gas field. Makokontrol ng kaaway ang source ng 40% ng kuryente ng Luzon. Maari i-blackout ang rehiyon. Mabibili ng China ang Subic, Cagayan at Aurora Freeports. Hindi na kailangn ng Intsik mag-asawa ng Pilipina; mapapakyaw na nila ang mga bukirin, bahayan at reclamations.

Sa ikalawang Pasko ng pandemya mahigpit pa rin ang health protocols sa pag-display ng Belen. Hanggang apat na pastol lang ang puwede sa sabsaban. Dapat naka-facemask at social distancing lahat ng tauhan. Maari mag­tabi-tabi sina Jose, Maria at Baby Jesus bilang family bubble. I-quarantine nang 14 na araw ang Tatlong Hari miski negative sa COVID-19 test dahil bumiyahe. Bawal ang anghel na umaligid sa taas ng crib dahil airborne ang virus. Isang tao lang ang choir para bawas ang tsansa ng konta­minasyon. Walang pastol na mahigit edad-65 at sakitin; hanggang 15 minutos lang ang pagbisita nila.
