In 2006, Arch. Palafox had said that a “do-nothing” scenario would result in catastrophic flooding when typhoons come. Calling disasters an “act of God” is a sin of omission. Our government should do something about it instead of using our resilience as an excuse against urban planning and disaster preparedness.
Architect Felino “Jun” Palafox, Jr. has 48 years of experience in architecture and 46 years in planning. Architect Palafox has lectured in more than 20 countries across the globe, including institutions like the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University. He has traveled to and observed more than 1,000 cities in 75 countries.
